I'm at my wits end trying to figure out if it is possible and trying to search for a scenario me and my friend encountered. It has something to do with "Venom Swamp" not being able to destroy an Xyz monster (Gachi Gachi Gantetsu - when we duplicated the problem). The Swamp has reduced the Xyz attack to "0" but the owner of Gantetsu was not asked to remove a counter or not. Here is a download of the replay and here, we tried with different kinds of monsters to check the card ruling of venom swamp. We used, venom monsters, alien, monsters with "0" starting attack, and finally xyz monster with a choice to use material to avoid being destroyed.
